*Ethical hacking is a program that teaches students how to identify and address security vulnerabilities in a safe, responsible manner.
Our department offering an Add-on course for BCA students on ‘Ethical Hacking’ in association with HP Cloud Innovations.
An ethical hacking course will provide comprehensive instruction in various types of security testing and analysis. Students can learn the basics of ethical hacking, including the processes, tools, and techniques involved in finding and exploiting security vulnerabilities. They will also learn how to develop countermeasures to help organizations protect themselves from cyber-attacks. Ethical hacking courses may also include hands-on activities such as building and testing networks, as well as developing security policies and procedures.
The Course is the process of testing networks, websites, applications and other computer systems to identify any potential security weaknesses or vulnerabilities. Ethical hackers use a variety of methods and tools to test security systems. These include simulated attacks, vulnerability scanning, password cracking, network analysis, port scanning and other techniques.
For the students in various departments of our institution on October 17, 2022, our department conducted a quiz competition in honour of Digital Society Day.
*On December 2, 2022—World Computer Literacy Day, a team of faculty members and our students organized a Workshop on 'Hardware Assembling' for the students of St.Joseph High School, Chathedom, Thuruthipuram.
The first session included the lecture on the parts of CPU along with fun activities on how to build a computer virtually. The next session exposed the students to hardware assembling of computer.
The students got a chance to disassemble and learn about different parts of the CPU with the help of our students. Overall, the training session was effective and interesting with insights drawn into hardware assembling.
